Synonyms
A managed mapping between words a shopper might type and the words your catalogue actually uses.
A synonym set links terms that mean the same thing to your search — «keds» and «кеды», «sneakers» and «кроссовки» — so a query matches a document that never contains its literal words. Mappings can be one-way (a nickname expands to the formal name, not back) or multi-way.
Because vocabulary drifts with every supplier feed and every season's marketing copy, AACSearch's autopilot mines the query log for repeated near-misses and proposes new synonym pairs for a person to approve, instead of leaving the list to go stale.
