Personalization
Adjusting ranking for the visitor in front of you, from their own session and history, rather than one ranking for everyone.
Personalization re-orders results using signals a specific visitor produced — categories they've browsed this session, brands they've bought before — so two shoppers searching the same word can see a different order without either seeing a different set of results.
It is opt-in per collection and works alongside global merchandising rules rather than overriding them: a pinned promotional item stays pinned for everyone, while personalization reorders what sits below it.
