This is a troubleshooting guide, not a live uptime monitor — there is no status page with historical uptime yet. Search errors, console problems and billing questions each have a next step below.
Read the message and code in the response body, not just the HTTP status. Retry a 429, 500, 502 or 503 with backoff; every other status means fix the request or the key, not retry it.
Note the time and the action that failed. For an identity provider error, ask your organization's administrator to check the configured SSO connection first.
Check Console's Usage screen — it breaks the monthly count down into search, indexing, AI and other. Owners get an email at 80% and 100% of quota before anything is throttled.
There is nothing to poll for uptime today — this page is a static troubleshooting guide. The service level agreement lists draft target uptime levels, not a measured historical commitment.
401 / 403
The key is missing, unknown, expired, or doesn't reach this operation, collection or origin. Fix the key — retrying won't help.
402
A subscription payment failed or an owner paused the API. Every operation answers 402 until it's settled or resumed.
429
Read resets_at or Retry-After in the response to know how long — seconds for a rate limit, potentially days for the monthly quota.
500 / 502 / 503
An unexpected error or the search engine was briefly unreachable. Retry with backoff — these are the only server errors worth retrying.
The full status-code reference, including which failures are worth retrying and how an Idempotency-Key protects a retried write, is in the errors and retries reference.

The best way to evaluate a search platform isn't reading one more comparison table.
Only then make the decision.
